A: The Mojo Technique is an aerial dance studio specializing in a variety of movement-based classes designed for adults, including pole dance, VC Dance, aerial yoga, and somatic education. We accommodate individuals and groups with private or small group sessions and regularly host events to foster a supportive community environment. Not at all. Most students who come to class are beginners. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, and every movement can be modified. You don’t need dance experience, strength, or flexibility to begin. The goal is simply to start where you are and grow from there.

That’s completely normal. Many students feel that way before their first class. Our studio is designed to be a supportive, judgment-free space where everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace. You’ll quickly discover that everyone is there for the same reason — to grow, learn, and reconnect with their bodies.

The Mojo Technique is a movement method created by Rodney James that helps people reconnect with their bodies and build confidence from the inside out. Please arrive 10 minutes before class so you have time to check in, get settled, and ask any questions. For safety reasons, late arrivals may not be able to join once class has started.

No. Flexibility, strength, and coordination are all things that develop through practice. Many students start with limited mobility or after long breaks from exercise. Progress happens naturally as your body becomes more familiar with the movements.

Please let the instructor know before class begins. Most exercises can be modified to support different bodies and abilities. Your safety and comfort are always the priority.
