✦ Sacred movement. Real transformation. ✦

Meet the Mojo
Rodney James, internationally known as Mr. Burlesque, has been captivating audiences and transforming lives through movement since the age of 12. From the Melbourne cast of CATS to the silver screen in Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, his journey includes performing in Miss Saigon on London’s West End and starring in global music videos and commercials.
For over two decades, Rodney has devoted himself to helping others rediscover their power through movement. His method isn't about a makeover—it's about awakening what’s already inside. He teaches individuals of all sizes, backgrounds, and identities to reconnect with their bodies and reignite their confidence.
"You don’t need a new wardrobe or a boob job. The real transformation happens from the inside out," he says.
With Rodney’s guidance, students return to themselves—with better posture, presence, sensuality, and self-worth. His teachings don’t just transform individuals—they ripple into relationships, families, and communities.
Now based in the East Bay, California, Rodney runs his own studio, offering Aerial Arts, Pole Dance, and his signature embodiment system: The Mojo Technique.

Relaxing while being challenging?
I thoroughly enjoyed my first aerial yoga class. My friends convinced me to join them and I was pleasantly surprised. The level of instruction was clear and coherent for a first timer like me, and I felt adequately supported as well as challenged in the class.
The lighting and music were perfect- relaxing me but also somehow encouraging? Can't wait to go back again! :)

Hidden Gem
Absolutely Love it! Union city has hidden gem Rodney, the aerial yoga instructor. His energy is mesmerising. My first class felt like it’s not for me but i am person who doesn’t like to give up that easy. I attended 2-3 more classes to get hooked to it. Now i feel like my energy is flowing and i can do so much better. I try to attend atleast 2 classes per week to get used to it. It is all about giving in. Definitely worth trying 2-3 classes to get used to it. I tried aerial dance/yoga classes.

My experience at the Mojo Technique
I have been going to the Mojo Technique for over a year now and love every bit of it. I have taken the aerial, pole and hoop classes. When I’m there I feel like I learn so much and am challenged to push my body in ways I never thought I would be able to! It feels very rewarding and I love the instructors! The owner is amazing, fun and super talented and really cares about everyone’s progress.
