Soft Is the New Hard™ A 6-Week Somatic Movement & Embodiment Journey 75 minutes per class | 1 class per week PROGRAM OVERVIEW Soft Is the New Hard™ is a progressive somatic movement journey for people who are not fully ready—but already called forward. This program is for the moment you feel the pull toward expression, strength, sensuality, or power… but another part of you still hesitates. We don’t remove the hesitation. We include it. Through breath, floorwork, fluid strength, guided awareness, and progressive embodiment practices, participants learn how to stay with themselves while they expand. Soft is not weakness. Hard is not force. They are the same system, finally working together. INTENDED OUTCOMES By the end of 6 weeks, participants will: Develop nervous system awareness in movement Increase body confidence without performance pressure Build foundational strength through fluid, somatic sequencing Recognise and work with internal resistance without shame Experience sensuality and expression as grounded, not performative Build trust in their own pacing and embodiment process CLASS STRUCTURE (75 MINUTES EACH WEEK) Each session follows a consistent somatic arc: Arrival & Grounding (10 min) Breath, orientation, nervous system settling Somatic Awakening (10 min) Gentle mobility, joint articulation, body scanning Core Theme Exploration (20 min) Weekly concept + guided movement experience Skill Integration (20 min) Floorwork / strength / flow progression Embodied Expression (10 min) Guided improvisation (no performance pressure) Closing Integration (5 min) Stillness, reflection, nervous system downshift 6-WEEK CURRICULUM WEEK 1 — “Arriving As You Are” Theme: Safety, presence, permission This week establishes the container: you do not need to be ready to begin. Focus: Grounding into the body Noticing hesitation without changing it Learning internal permission cues Somatic Practice: Breath + contact points (floor awareness) Micro-movements: “barely moving but fully sensing” Weight shifting + spinal awareness Core Exploration: “What happens when I stop trying to arrive perfectly… and just arrive?” Integration Flow: Slow floor-based sequencing Simple transitions: sit → kneel → lie → rise Expression Practice: “Move as if no one is watching—but you are watching yourself kindly” WEEK 2 — “The Part That Says No” Theme: Resistance as communication Focus: Recognising internal hesitation Noticing contraction vs curiosity Building tolerance for dual st
